About the Paintings Acadia 1
In Acadia National Park, I used a travel palette of Schminke watercolor cakes and an Arches watercolor block of cold press paper. This paint handles differently from the Winsor Newton watercolour tubes because it is a little bit opaque and somewhat thicker, yet flows easily across the paper. The pre-mixed colors and the small size of the block of paper were helpful for painting quickly (as was the thought of a lobster roll for lunch).
